Though I gotta say goodbye, for the winter

I can tell it's about that time. More honestly, it's probably overdue.

I hardly post anymore, and when I do, my heart isn't in it. I haven't been reading other blogs (as you all have seen) as much and I haven't been commenting.

So it's time to bid y'all farewell. If anyone is still reading. I wouldn't be, considering how little I post. :)

It's been fun. A little over 200 posts between the two blogs. A couple of years. There were times when you all helped Therese and I get through things, and times when people came to us asking for advice or more specifics about our situation. Which, really, is why we started the blogs.

I had the opportunity to meet a handful of people face to face, and got to know some people outside of the blogs, because of the blogs. No, the time wasn't wasted, and I certainly don't regret what we had. It's not you blog world. It's me.

I'll leave all this up, because I may be back someday. It may be sooner, rather than later, depending on what happens with my job. If I end up moving to NM, I'll be without the family for a couple of months, and have a lot of time to catch up with ya. If not, well, I'll still comment once in awhile.

Peace out, take care, and I'll see you around. With Therese still blogging, I'll never be that far away.

p.s. yeah, I know some of the songs don't make sense, just enjoy the farewell gift from me to you!
p.p.s. yeah, you know I love you, blog world. Yeah you. You know I'm talkin' to you.

It's been wonderful to get to know you via your blogs, and I hope that you're successful in whatever ventures you head out on next!

If/when you return to blogging, I'll be here :)

Take care of yourself, and your family too-

Dave

Wow. . . You linked In the Year 2525. . .

But then, on the other hand, you did link the Beatles, so thanks for that. . .

Seriously, it has been a pleasure to get to know you, to the extent that I have. I won't say 'goodbye', because I know we'll be in touch. But I'll miss your bloggity presence (um, just like I have for the last couple months). So I won't take you off my blogroll; I'll just do a double-take if and when you bubble back up to the top. . .

And, uh, don't forget to make that left toin at Alba-koiky. . .

So I was all excited to see your blog highlighted in my Reader and then I hop over here with glee to find you're breaking up with us?!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except wait..the last time someone broke up with me, I cried for days and didn't eat and subsequently lost 7 pounds, so, listen, would you mind breaking up with us a couple more times? :)

It's always been a pleasure. You're going to remain in my Reader for the day you come back!

P.S. Kudos on the mix of classics in this post!

P.S.S. Super kudos for the U2!

P.S.S.S. Do you love Desmond more than the rest of us since you linked to TWO Beatle's songs?

Nice mix of showtunes, oldies, and contemporary... Was disappointed that there was no ABBA, but I guess you can't have everything. :-)

But seriously, it is sad to see you retire from the blog. I was hoping that you'd give Digger a run for the money and start two or three more blogs before hanging up the ink well.

OK... Now I'm really serious... It saddens me to remove another blog from my RSS feeds.

I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to meet both you and Therese in the great gathering of 2008.

I wish you well in your endeavors. If you need to get in touch, you know where to find me.

There will be an answer...

We'll always have Paris.

And that one drunken, naked night on the beach, involving the aluminum foil and the vat of mustard and the pipe cleaners.

I asked Therese if I should come and reply to comments one last time and she said "hell yes".

So I want you all to know that lovin you is easy, cause you're all beautiful.

Sailor - thanks for the goodbye, and I'm sure I'll see you around. I'll still be commenting around the block.

Des - you don't like 2525? Best song ever! Not really. Actually, I've been on a Simon and Garfunkel kick for the last couple of days.

DaKOG - when you say you were "all excited" can you tell us just HOW excited you were? I never call, I never write, and then one day I just say goodbye. I suck. But in a good way.
BTW, I also did two Eagles songs. Does no one like the Eagles anymore?

2am - I almost did some Abba, but just couldn't fit it in quite right. Honestly, I don't know Abba as well as I should.

FTN - I don't remember that night, but when I drink I obviously pass out. What were you doing to a passed out drunk guy on the beach? Are you sure it was me?

Xavier - you had me at hello.

Peace out, homies.
